January 2016 Supplemental Tryouts
Cook Inlet SC competitive teams are transitioning into the new year and are looking for more players to join our teams and club. Attending the Cook Inlet SC supplemental tryout does not commit you to our club! Feel free to come out and be evaluated by the Cook Inlet SC coaching staff whether you are a current member of the club or not! Supplemental tryouts will be held at the Dome.
Cook Inlet SC teams are now seperated by birth year instead of school year. For example, if you were born in the year 2005 you would play with the 2005 team. Below you will find the time and field (all fields are inside the DOME) information for each age group.

Kiddie Soccer 1 & 2 (3 & under) - An introduction to the game of soccer for 2-3 year olds. Parents are encouraged to participate with their child as the licensed instructor leads the group in games and movements with a soccer ball. Players are not split into teams in this age group, but grouped together. Each player receives a Kiddie Soccer Jersey. Group 1 will have their sessions at 11-11:45, while group 2 will have their sessions at 12-12:45.
U6 (born 2011-12) - For kids ages 4 and 5, the U6 program is the first opportunity for players to be placed on their own team with their own coach. The U6 program plays 4v4 on one half of an end zone at the Dome and will play to small goals with no goalies. U6 teams receive a full uniform (jersey, shorts and socks). U6 will have a 30 minute training with their own team followed by a 30 minute game against an opposing team all in a 1-hour timeframe.
U8 (born 2009-10) - For kids ages 6 and 7. The U8 program will play 4v4 on half an end zone. The bigger space will allow for a smoother transition from our U8 program into the U10 program. The larger fields will also allow the players to be more creative and have more space to run with or without the ball. U8 teams receive a full uniform (jersey, shorts and socks).
U10 Academy (born 2007-08) - The U10 program is headed by CISC Staff Coach Johnny Turner. Johnny and other CISC staff coaches will offer trainings twice a week. The boys will practice on Mon/Wed while the girls will practie on Tues/Thurs and they will all play their games on Saturday mornings in the Dome. The U10 players also have the opportunity to tryout for the U10 Select team, which will travel to tournaments around Anchorage and Wasilla and play against other select teams from neighboring soccer clubs. U10 players receive a full uniform (jersey, shorts and socks).
U12 (2005-06) U15 (2002-04)and U19 (1999-01) -- u12, u15, and u19 will play their games at either 9, or 10 AM which could vary by week. Players in the U12, U15 or U19 league will train at least once a week at a local ASD elementary school gym and will play a 1-hour game on Saturday mornings beginning at either 9AM, or 10AM in the Dome. The coach of each team gets to choose the practice location and time for their team. Players that are in these age groups have the opportunity to be evaluated by a CISC Staff Coach if they are interested in potentially playing competitive soccer. Although its not mandatory, many CISC competitive players started out in the recreational program and were later identified as being potential competitive players. Players in these age groups receive a full uniform (jersey, shorts and socks).
